When you visit our clinic for your teeth whitening treatment, we will examine the state of your teeth to determine the causes of the discoloration. Our professional whitening services are performed in-office. We use a safe form of hydrogen peroxide as the active whitening agent; as oxygen is released, it scrubs away the surface stains on your teeth, a process known as oxidation. Sometimes a special laser or light would be used to speed up the oxidation process to produce quicker, more extensive results.

How long does “whiteness” last?

Professional teeth whitening can last for 2-3 years, depending on the type of treatment done. This also depends on eating and drinking habits, regular oral hygiene habits, and whether you smoke or not.

Do my teeth become more sensitive after treatment?

Immediately following your teeth whitening treatment, your teeth may be more sensitive to hot and cold foods than before. This is normal, as most treatments remove some of the minerals within the enamel of your teeth, causing sensitivity. However, this should go away completely in 48 hours or less.
